The Continuing Pickle Saga

Greetings Pickle Lovers! I have been busy seeking out new pickle adventures to report including an update on the receiving my pickle lovers package from Mt. Olive. Yes! It has arrived! Special thanks and lots of love to the Mt. Olive company for sending the sensation $1 Off coupon, Pickle Magnet and official newsletter. Oh boy!

The magnet is super groovy and kept the coupon on the fridge for a few days before we travelled to the local Acme for another installment of the blog. Many pickles await at your local chain store, and ours is no exception. In addition to using the coupon for a new jar of Sweet Gherkins, I also found some Grillo's Hot Pickles in the cooler section and also grabbed some Cento Hot Pepper Rings. Indeed!

I was delighted to hear that there is a new sweet pickle lover in the family! It seems they first tasted a Mt. Olive Sweet Gherkin on top of one of my famous Deviled Eggs. Just one bite and they were hooked.

Also, I made it a point to seek out Claussen Hot Dill Spears at the request of a fellow pickle fan, but none were to be found. They will have to wait for a future blog entry.

Now to the matter of Grillo's Pickles because WOW they are an awesome company. Although they are relatively new to the market compared to the established pickle brands, they have a heart and hustle that should make every pickle fan seek out their products. According to their website, the pickles were sold on the streets of Boston back in 2008 at a cost of 2 spears for $1.00 well all right! I got the hot variety because I have been on a heat kick of late. Perhaps it is the chilly winter months that still lay ahead that are motivating me.

The company has created some fun and games on their website including cartoons about their history and coloring pages to download. Check out their products page to see the awesome variety they have including Pickle Vinegar soft drinks. Plus lots of cool merchandise and even some recipes. (Stay tuned for results!)
